Incyte Corporation (NASDAQ:INCY) reported third quarter 2026 total revenues of USD 1.56 billion, up from USD 1.37 billion a year earlier and above the consensus estimate of USD 1.46 billion. Loss per share came in at USD 3.60 against a consensus estimate of a loss of USD 3.93, while the GAAP diluted loss per share was USD 3.86, compared with diluted Earnings of USD 2.11 in the prior year period.

The GAAP net loss of USD 784.8 million followed a USD 708.4 million operating loss, a swing from USD 443.5 million of Operating Income a year earlier. The cause was a one time charge: USD 1.23 billion of acquired in process Research and Development expense tied to the July 2026 purchase of Vega Therapeutics.

Product Sales and the Vega Charge

Net sales were USD 1.32 billion, up 14%. Jakafi, including the extended release version approved in May 2026, contributed USD 826.5 million, as a Volume gain of USD 102.8 million was partly offset by a price decrease of USD 67.4 million. Opzelura net sales rose 36% to USD 254.9 million. Niktimvo reached USD 67.4 million from USD 45.8 million, and Zynyz climbed to USD 58.3 million from USD 22.7 million. Product Royalty revenues were USD 191.0 million.

Incyte closed the Vega acquisition on July 6, 2026 for USD 1.25 billion in cash. Of the USD 1.267 billion total consideration, USD 1.232 billion went to latarcibart, a Phase 3 antibody for von Willebrand disease, and was expensed because the asset had no alternative future use. Seller Star Therapeutics is eligible for up to USD 750 million more tied to annual U.S. net sales milestones, none of which has been recorded.

Liquidity and Regulatory Items

Cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities totaled USD 3.9 billion at September 30, 2026. Operating Cash Flow for the nine months was USD 201.7 million versus USD 870.2 million a year earlier, a drop tied mainly to the cash paid for Vega. The company had no borrowings under its USD 500.0 million revolving Credit facility, which matures in June 2027.

A second quarter agreement with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ended the line extension treatment of Opzelura in Medicaid rebate rules. The company recognized a one time, non cash benefit of USD 246.0 million and stated that it anticipates better gross to net for the product going forward.

Data Points Behind the Next Report

Several items stand out for the next report. Jakafi paid demand grew 12% in the quarter, while the price decrease of USD 67.4 million shows how much pricing offset volume. Opzelura gross to net, now free of the line extension accrual, is a second measure. The USD 500.0 million credit Facility reaches its June 2027 maturity, and the latarcibart program carries up to USD 750 million of sales milestone payments. Zynyz and Niktimvo, at USD 58.3 million and USD 67.4 million, show the pace of newer launches.
