Imunon Inc. (NASDAQ: IMNN) is navigating a notable shift in its finance team. Jeffrey Church, who has acted as interim Chief Financial Officer since early 2026, has announced his departure, with an exit date set for July 1, 2026. Following his exit, Church will remain involved with the company in a consulting capacity, receiving a monthly retainer of $10,000 to support the handover.

Church’s Planned Exit

Effective July 1, 2026, Church will step down from the interim CFO post. The transition is described as amicable, and his ongoing advisory role is intended to preserve continuity in financial oversight. The stipulated retainer underscores the company’s intent to retain his expertise during the changeover.

Selection of Interim CFO

To fill the vacancy, Imunon has named Josh Blacher as the new interim CFO. Blacher will take up the duties on the same date Church steps aside. He is currently connected with Danforth Health, Inc. A firm that provides financial advisory services to biotechnology and life‑science enterprises.

This appointment aligns with Imunon’s strategy to sustain strong fiscal governance throughout the interim period.

Blacher’s Professional Background

Josh Blacher, now in his mid‑fifties, brings a breadth of experience within the life‑science arena. His résumé includes previous chief financial officer positions at BullFrog AI Holdings, Inc. Among other publicly and privately held companies. His record of managing corporate finance, capital structures, and regulatory reporting is viewed as a valuable asset for Imunon at this juncture.

Compensation Arrangement

Under the master services agreement with Danforth Health, Imunon will remunerate Blacher at a rate of $475 per hour for the services he provides as interim CFO. This structure is designed to align compensation with the specialized expertise he contributes, while allowing the company to benefit from Danforth’s broader advisory framework.

Compliance and Conflict Review

The board’s assessment indicates no conflict of interest related to Blacher’s appointment. No familial connections to current Imunon executives have been identified, and there are no disclosed material interests that would trigger additional regulatory filing.

Executive Equity Compensation

In a concurrent development, the company’s chief executive officer received an equity award of 67,150 shares, replacing a traditional cash bonus for the current fiscal year. The allocation reflects a broader trend in the sector toward equity‑based remuneration, which aims to more closely align executive incentives with shareholder outcomes.

Overall, the leadership adjustments at Imunon are intended to preserve financial stability while positioning the company for continued growth in the biotechnology market.
