Automated Logic – Canada, Ltd. (ALC), a subsidiary of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), announced on August 1, 2025, the acquisition of Control Solutions, Ltd. (CSL), a Coquitlam-based provider of integrated building automation systems. The acquisition marks ALC’s entry into the Vancouver market through its first company-owned controls field office in Western Canada.
CSL specializes in automation systems for complex building environments, serving sectors such as commercial real estate, education, data centers, and mixed-use developments. With more than 100 employees, the company offers design, installation, retrofit upgrades, and multi-year service contracts aimed at improving energy efficiency and operational resilience.
According to Andy Bierer, Managing Director of ALC Field, the transaction aligns with Automated Logic’s strategy to enhance its ability to deliver integrated and intelligent building solutions across British Columbia. The move is also expected to support ALC’s expansion in sectors identified as high growth within the province.
Control Solutions will continue to operate under its existing leadership, with Chad Thomas and Eddie McCool remaining in their respective roles as President and CEO. The team will maintain operations from the company’s current Coquitlam office and continue servicing projects throughout the province. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
