Humacyte (NASDAQ:HUMA) shares are trading up 9.24% at $0.43 today as the company announced three presentations at the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions 2026 and scheduled its third-quarter results for November 10. The stock sits within a 52-week range of $0.34 to $1.56 on Volume of about 2.6 million shares.

Humacyte is a Durham, North Carolina-based commercial-stage biotechnology platform company founded in 2004 and led by founder-scientist Laura Niklason. It develops universally implantable, bioengineered human acellular vessels designed to avoid immune rejection, and its FDA-approved product, Symvess, treats extremity vascular trauma. The pipeline targets dialysis access, peripheral artery disease, coronary artery bypass grafting and pediatric heart surgery.

Three AHA Presentations Focus on Coronary Bypass

The AHA Scientific Sessions run from November 6 to 9 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Niklason will deliver an invited talk on engineering the microenvironment to accelerate vascular regeneration on November 7, and two further presentations cover Humacyte's investigational coronary tissue engineered vessel, a small-diameter bioengineered vessel for coronary artery bypass grafting.

The first covers the design of a first-in-human Phase 2a study, presented by researchers from Duke University and UNC Rex Hospital, and the second covers preclinical results in porcine and ovine bypass models, presented on November 8. Niklason described the plan as the first U.S. clinical trial of a bioengineered CABG conduit.

Q3 Results on November 10 Add a Second Catalyst

Humacyte will release financial results for the three and nine months ended September 30 on November 10, with a webcast and conference call to review the quarter and provide a corporate update. The company's earlier approval of Symvess in vascular trauma came in December 2024, and its 6mm vessel for dialysis access holds RMAT and Fast Track designations.

Cardiac Surgeons Become the Audience for the Next Growth Leg

Niklason said the AHA audience includes the cardiac surgeons and cardiologists who will decide whether an off-the-shelf conduit belongs in bypass surgery. With the shares still well below their 52-week high of $1.56, the conference and the November 10 report are the next events to follow.
