Earnings and Revenue Clear Estimates
Indivior Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:INDV) shares rose in pre-market trading after the company reported third-quarter results before the open. Adjusted earnings per share of $1.32 were above estimates that varied by data provider between $0.80 and $1.12. Revenue of $356.0 million was about 8% above the roughly $329.4 million expected and up about 13% from a year earlier.
Management affirmed full-year 2026 net revenue guidance of $1.295 billion to $1.365 billion, a range that brackets the $1.334 billion consensus. The company has beaten earnings estimates in each of its last four reported quarters.
Indivior is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on opioid use disorder. It develops and sells buprenorphine-based medicines, led by SUBLOCADE, a monthly extended-release injection that made up about 69% of 2025 net revenue. Other products include SUBOXONE Film and Tablet, SUBUTEX Tablet, PERSERIS and OPVEE. The company was spun out of Reckitt Benckiser in 2014 and redomiciled to the United States in January 2026, with a base in Richmond, Virginia.
Pending Supernus Deal and Special Dividend
Investors are also watching the pending acquisition by Supernus Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:SUPN), announced in August and expected to close soon. After completion, the company would be renamed Supernus Inc. and trade under the ticker SUPN.
Indivior declared a special cash dividend of $8.13 per share, contingent on the deal closing, with a record date of October 30 and payment on November 6. The share price will adjust for that payment when the stock goes ex-dividend, which matters when comparing prices across the period.
Valuation and Drivers
Indivior has a market capitalisation of about $4.34 billion, trailing earnings per share of $3.65, a trailing price-to-earnings ratio of 9.7 and a forward ratio of 7.3. The 52-week high is $42.81. The consensus rating is positive, and one research firm recently raised its price target to $45 from $43.
SUBLOCADE remains the focus. The product generated $232 million in first-quarter revenue, up 32% year on year, helped by a direct-to-consumer campaign. Management is working to grow SUBLOCADE and offset generic erosion of SUBOXONE Film. Savings from ending the INDV-6001 and INDV-2000 programmes and the pace of share repurchases, with $300 million bought in the first half under a $400 million authorisation, were other topics for the call.
What Investors Will Weigh Next
The results strengthen the earnings base ahead of the Supernus transaction. Regulatory and integration timelines, the exact closing date and the dividend mechanics are the next points to follow.
