Arqit Quantum Inc. (NASDAQ: ARQQ) is a cybersecurity technology firm focused on developing encryption solutions that address emerging vulnerabilities posed by quantum computing. The company’s flagship product, the SKA-Platform, allows secure key exchange without relying on traditional asymmetric encryption methods. Arqit serves customers across sectors including defense, telecommunications, and financial services.

The company has been named a founding member of the newly launched Oracle Defense Ecosystem, a global technology initiative aimed at accelerating innovation and strengthening cybersecurity capabilities within the defense sector. The announcement was made during the Oracle Defense Tech Summit held in Austin, Texas, where Oracle introduced the new collaboration program bringing together key defense contractors, technology providers, and cybersecurity experts.

The Oracle Defense Ecosystem was designed to address increasingly complex cybersecurity and national defense challenges. As part of the program, Arqit will contribute its Symmetric Key Agreement Platform (SKA-Platform), a cloud-based software solution intended to safeguard data at rest, in transit, and in processing particularly against the emerging threat of quantum computing.

Arqit’s platform generates encryption keys on demand, eliminating reliance on traditional public key infrastructure. Its selection into the Oracle initiative expands the platform’s reach by integrating it with Oracle's global cloud infrastructure, enabling standardized and accelerated deployment through Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) compliance.

Arqit’s inclusion in the ecosystem will provide it with strategic benefits, including access to Oracle’s sales channels, government-focused cloud marketplaces, and secure deployment frameworks. These capabilities are intended to support federal and defense clients with modernized, compliant security solutions.

Sean Carnew, Senior Director for Government and Defense at Arqit, noted that the company’s work is closely aligned with the national interest in defending critical infrastructure and securing digital environments from quantum threats. “Protecting government and defense systems from future cybersecurity vulnerabilities requires solutions that anticipate tomorrow’s problems today,” he said.

CEO Andy Leaver added that Arqit’s mission is centered on building systems that deliver quantum-safe security. He explained that the partnership with Oracle creates a pathway for Arqit’s technologies to be more widely adopted in sensitive and regulated environments.

With cybersecurity threats evolving and quantum computing advancing, the partnership between Arqit and Oracle offers a potential framework for preemptive defense measures. While the SKA-Platform has already been deployed across some commercial use cases, its integration with Oracle's defense ecosystem may accelerate its adoption within government and military contexts.

The collaboration is part of a broader effort by both companies to help defense clients prepare for the transition to post-quantum security environments. The initiative signals ongoing investment by technology providers in building systems resilient to long-term digital threats.

Further updates are expected as deployments begin under the ecosystem framework and as Arqit expands its engagement with Oracle’s cloud and defense clients.
