Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ:LSCC): Growth Doubled and the Bar Rose
Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ:LSCC) reported fiscal third-quarter 2026 results on November 2, for the quarter ended October 3. Revenue was USD 291.0 million, up 118.3% year over year, with non-GAAP gross Margin of 70.9% and GAAP gross margin of 67.4%. Non-GAAP Earnings were USD 0.72 a share against GAAP earnings of USD 0.08. The shares closed up 10.98% on November 3, and part of that move was sector-wide, since chip stocks fell on November 2 and rebounded the next day. Fourth-quarter guidance is revenue of USD 325 million to USD 345 million, non-GAAP gross margin of 72.0%, plus or minus 1%, and non-GAAP earnings of USD 0.82 to USD 0.86. A jump from 62% growth to 118% growth raises the bar sharply, and any slowdown would be punished. The gap between GAAP and non-GAAP earnings means reported profit is much thinner than adjusted profit, and semiconductor Demand is cyclical. Customer concentration, inventory levels and the share of revenue from new products are worth checking in the full filing, along with any commentary on pricing, and non-GAAP operating expenses are guided to USD 95 million to USD 101 million.
Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM): The Preview With the Weakest Growth Setup
This is a preview written before results. Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM) reports fiscal fourth-quarter results after the close on November 4, 2026, with a call at 4:45 p.m. ET. Company guidance is revenue of USD 9.7 billion to USD 10.5 billion and adjusted earnings of USD 2.05 to USD 2.25, with consensus near USD 10.1 billion and USD 2.16, which would be down about 10% and 28% from a year earlier, per published estimates. Third-quarter revenue was USD 9.95 billion and adjusted earnings were USD 2.21. Apple-related revenue is expected to fall about 50% from the third quarter, and Bernstein estimates it could drop about USD 6 billion in fiscal 2027. Automotive revenue was about USD 1.6 billion, up 61%, and IoT about USD 1.8 billion, up 9%, together about 40% of chip revenue. Published Options coverage points to a swing of about 9.6%, a single-source figure and not a forecast. Risks include a weak outlook, handset softness and memory costs. Analysts rated the stock 3 Buy, 6 Hold and 2 Sell in the preview, with an average target near USD 197, and an after-the-close report means the first reaction comes in extended trading, where Volume is thinner and quotes can swing.
AMD (NASDAQ:AMD): Big Customers, Bigger Guide
AMD (NASDAQ:AMD) reported third-quarter results after the close on November 3, 2026. Revenue of USD 13.377 billion rose 45%, and adjusted earnings of USD 2.09 a share beat USD 1.95. Data Center revenue rose 97% to about USD 8.546 billion, and fourth-quarter guidance of about USD 17 billion, plus or minus 3%, exceeds the roughly USD 16.23 billion expected, with adjusted gross margin near 55%. The stock had lost nearly 20% over three sessions before rising 3.65% on November 3 to close at 483.90. After hours it rose about 5% to 508.20, with other accounts citing up to 7%. CEO Lisa Su reportedly said revenue could grow more than 80% in 2027, per a single published account, which is a management view and not a guarantee. AI chip demand depends on customers' spending plans, and the sector lost about USD 5 trillion in value between October 6 and November 2, per one published tally. Concentration in a few very large customers is another risk, as are memory costs, Supply constraints and competition from larger rivals that can affect margins and growth.
Aehr Test Systems (NASDAQ:AEHR): Small, Fast and Fragile
Aehr Test Systems (NASDAQ:AEHR) reported fiscal first-quarter 2027 results on November 2, 2026, for the quarter ended September 25. Revenue was USD 33.0 million, up 200% from USD 11.0 million and up 75% from USD 18.8 million in the prior quarter. GAAP Net Income was USD 7.2 million against a loss a year earlier. Bookings were USD 46.7 million, a book-to-bill ratio of about 1.4, and effective Backlog was USD 109.3 million. Fiscal 2027 revenue guidance was raised to USD 150 million from USD 130 million to USD 150 million, with non-GAAP net income of at least 20% of revenue, or at least USD 30 million, simple arithmetic. Shares closed up 26.5% on November 3. Aehr is a small company, so a small number of trades can move the price, spreads can be wide and quoted moves can reverse. Revenue depends on a few large customers, and a move of 26.5% in one session does not imply the rise will continue. Management said it sees production potential across more than a dozen customers, a claim that remains to be shown in orders, and cash fell to USD 105.1 million from USD 116.5 million at May 29, 2026.
Where Things Stand
Lattice can outrun the others on growth rate, at 118.3% against 45% for AMD, but a high growth rate is also the highest bar. Aehr's 200% growth comes from a very small base and carries thin-name risk. Qualcomm is the laggard on the numbers, with consensus down and Apple-related revenue falling, and its report on November 4 is the nearest catalyst. AMD (NASDAQ:AMD) is the largest and most diversified of the four, though it relies on AI customers. Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ:LSCC) is the clearest growth story, and the balance of evidence favors growth at Lattice and AMD, with weaker handset exposure at Qualcomm. Results and rebounds can reverse, and none of this is a forecast.
