The cybersecurity company reported fiscal second-quarter results on August 27 showing continued double-digit revenue growth and a return to GAAP net income, as its Falcon platform and newer enterprise licensing model continue to expand.

The results discussed here cover the three months ended July 31, 2026, the second quarter of CrowdStrike’s fiscal year 2027.

Revenue Growth Continues as the Company Returns to GAAP Profitability

Total revenue for the quarter was $1,470.9 million, up 25.8% from $1,168.9 million a year earlier, comprising subscription revenue of $1,400.3 million, up from $1,102.9 million, and professional services revenue of $70.6 million, up from $66.0 million. Gross profit rose to $1,096.9 million from $860.4 million. Total operating expenses rose to $1,130.1 million from $965.9 million, led by research and development spending of $444.2 million, up from $342.5 million, and sales and marketing expenses of $510.0 million, up from $446.6 million. Loss from operations narrowed to $33.2 million from $105.5 million a year earlier.

Net income attributable to CrowdStrike was $5.3 million, compared with a net loss of $70.2 million in the prior-year quarter, aided by interest income of $43.9 million and a $1.4 million tax benefit, versus a $6.0 million tax expense a year earlier. For the first six months of fiscal 2027, net income attributable to CrowdStrike was $33.1 million, compared with a net loss of $174.4 million in the comparable prior-year period.

Annual Recurring Revenue Expands as Falcon Flex Gains Traction

CrowdStrike’s Annual Recurring Revenue grew to $5.8 billion as of July 31, 2026, from $4.7 billion a year earlier, with $332.8 million of net new ARR added during the quarter and $588.6 million added over the first six months of fiscal 2027, compared with $221.1 million and $414.8 million, respectively, in the prior-year periods. The company has said a key component of its enterprise strategy is Falcon Flex, its licensing model that allows customers to commit to a broader platform investment upfront and draw down that commitment across multiple products over time, which it says delivers low-friction procurement and flexibility to shift spend across security domains as customer priorities evolve. Management has also noted that net new ARR generation is typically greater in the second half of its fiscal year, particularly the fourth quarter, reflecting customary budget-cycle seasonality.

Board Expands Share Repurchase Authorization

On June 3, 2025, CrowdStrike’s board approved a share repurchase program for up to $1.0 billion of Class A common stock, which the board expanded by an additional $500.0 million on April 6, 2026, bringing the total authorization to $1.5 billion. No repurchases were made under the program during the quarter ended July 31, 2026, leaving $1.3 billion available for future repurchases as of that date. The program does not have a fixed expiration date and does not obligate the company to acquire any specific number of shares.
