The company has announced the award of a USD 5.5 million production contract from a leading U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) prime contractor. The contract involves supplying specialized radio frequency (RF) components in support of a major U.S. weapons system and builds upon M-tron’s continued role in the program, which spans nearly a decade. 

The components to be delivered under this agreement include rugged crystal filters and lumped element filters, engineered for performance and reliability in environments critical to national defense. These components play an essential role in communications, signal processing, and frequency control within advanced military systems. 

Production for this contract will be carried out at M-tron’s manufacturing facility in Orlando, Florida, with work expected to continue through 2026. The larger program itself is scheduled to remain in production at least through 2035, signaling ongoing demand for the company’s solutions within the U.S. defense sector. 

The award demonstrates the continuity of M-tron’s involvement in long-term Department of Defense programs. By delivering consistent manufacturing output and maintaining qualification for defense-grade RF components, M-tron continues to contribute to the sustainment of mission-critical systems used across national defense operations. 

M-tron’s Chief Executive Officer, Cameron Pforr, commented on the announcement, noting that the company’s approach is centered on supporting its customers with components that meet the evolving requirements of defense applications. While not naming the specific platform for security reasons, M-tron has historically supported U.S. defense programs requiring compact, durable RF filters capable of performing under high-stress operating conditions. 

This contract reinforces M-tron’s role in delivering technology that supports complex systems used by the U.S. military and its allies. It also provides a measure of visibility into the company’s future production pipeline, with orders expected to run for several more years. 

The Orlando facility where this production will occur is part of M-tron’s broader U.S.-based operations that focus on high-reliability manufacturing.
