Oracle Corporation (NYSE: ORCL) has announced the launch of the Oracle Defense Ecosystem, a global initiative aimed at supporting U.S. and allied national security by improving access to emerging defense technologies. Introduced during the Oracle Defense Tech Summit, the program is designed to help technology developers overcome existing procurement and compliance hurdles, while leveraging cloud and AI resources within Oracle’s infrastructure.
The Oracle Defense Ecosystem connects early-stage and established defense-focused technology companies with a network of resources and infrastructure services. The initiative brings together a diverse group of defense technology developers, including Arqit, Blackshark.ai, Entanglement, Fenix Group (now part of Nokia Federal Solutions), Koniku, Kraken, Mattermost, Metron, SensusQ, and Whitespace.
According to Oracle, the ecosystem is intended to accelerate innovation by helping these organizations access Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), which is built to meet the regulatory and security needs of defense and intelligence operations. OCI's global reach and compliance with U.S. defense and government standards are positioned as central features for participating companies.
One of the core challenges addressed by the new ecosystem is the difficulty faced by smaller and emerging technology vendors in entering the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). These difficulties include long procurement timelines, stringent certification processes, and limited access to networks necessary for gaining visibility in the defense sector. Oracle’s program aims to bridge that gap by offering members a range of resources including sales support, compliance tools, secure cloud environments, and training programs.
Members of the Oracle Defense Ecosystem will have access to a range of support structures designed to facilitate the development and deployment of defense technologies. These include collaboration opportunities with Oracle’s global sales team to tailor solutions and messaging for defense and intelligence clients. Participants can also integrate with Palantir Foundry and its Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), gaining tools for data integration, AI governance, and operations management that are useful in defense applications.
In addition, members can list and distribute their solutions globally via the Oracle Cloud Marketplace, with access to continuous integration and deployment capabilities for faster delivery of updates. To assist with defense procurement and compliance, Oracle will offer executive advisory support to help navigate complex qualification standards. The ecosystem also provides resources to help members meet Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) standards, using Oracle’s pre-configured landing zone frameworks.
Business operations support is available through preferred pricing for Oracle NetSuite, offering cloud-based enterprise resource planning with integrated AI tools. Finally, members will have access to secure Oracle facilities for defense-related work and can utilize training and certification programs from Oracle University to strengthen their technical capabilities.
This initiative represents Oracle’s continued focus on supporting government and defense sectors with cloud infrastructure and technology services. Founded in 1977 and headquartered in Austin, Texas, Oracle provides enterprise cloud solutions, database software, and IT services across more than 175 countries. Its client base includes organizations in finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and public sectors, with increasing investment in secure and compliant platforms for sensitive applications.
With the Oracle Defense Ecosystem, the company aims to improve connectivity between technology innovators and the tools needed to deploy advanced capabilities in defense contexts.
