The results discussed here cover the three months ended July 31, 2026, the second quarter of Rubrik’s fiscal 2027.
Revenue and Subscription ARR Both Grow by More Than a Third
Total revenue for the quarter was $427.3 million, up 37.9% from $309.9 million a year earlier, with subscription revenue of $407.2 million, up 37.1% from $297.0 million. Gross profit rose to $335.1 million from $246.3 million. Interest income rose to $16.4 million from $12.2 million, reflecting higher average cash and investment balances.
Subscription ARR Growth Continues as the Business Scales
Rubrik’s Subscription ARR, which the company defines as the annualized value of active subscriptions assuming renewal on existing terms, reached $1,660.9 million as of July 31, 2026, up 33% from $1,252.4 million a year earlier, though the growth rate moderated from 36% in the prior-year comparison. The company said its average subscription dollar-based net retention rate and its base of customers with $100,000 or more in Subscription ARR remain key indicators it uses to track expansion within its existing customer base, reflecting both new product adoption and growth in the volume of data secured for existing customers.
AI Operations Push Continues with Rubrik Agent Cloud
In February 2026, Rubrik launched Rubrik Agent Cloud, which the company describes as a comprehensive AI operations suite designed to dynamically monitor, control and remediate agentic actions, extending its platform beyond traditional data protection and recovery into securing AI agents and non-human identities. Management has said it continues to believe that data security and cyber resilience are foundational to enterprises’ broader AI transformation efforts.
Balance Sheet Remains Well Funded
As of July 31, 2026, Rubrik had cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments of $1.75 billion and restricted cash of $6.0 million.
