Key Highlights
- 1-for-10: the reverse split Flyte Aviation (NYSEAMERICAN:VJET) effected at 12:01 a.m. ET on October 5, 2026, leaving about 2,101,987 shares outstanding, with the name change from Catheter Precision and the ticker change from VTAK to VJET.
- March 9, 2026: the date the company, then Catheter Precision, completed the acquisition of Fly Flyte, a technology-powered private air charter business, after buying 19.98 percent from SEG Jets in February and 80.02 percent from Creatd.
- USD 11.6 billion: the size the company cites for the U.S. private jet charter market it believes it can disrupt with its booking platform, with fourth quarter spending planned on a website, mobile app and marketing.
- USD 0.152: the fair market value per share, before the split, at which stockholders approved repricing options on September 30, 2026, alongside reincorporation to Nevada and a larger equity plan for Flyte Aviation (NYSEAMERICAN:VJET), per the company's 8-K.
From Life Sciences to Private Jets
Catheter Precision operated a life sciences business, which the company says it continues to support, before moving into aviation. In February and March 2026 it acquired 100 percent of Fly Flyte, which lets customers book flights directly or bid on empty-leg flights in real time. On October 5, 2026 it changed its name to Flyte Aviation and its NYSE American ticker from VTAK to VJET, effected a 1-for-10 reverse split and began trading on a split-adjusted basis under a new CUSIP. Flyte is also Official Air Travel Partner of the 34th Hamptons International Film Festival, running October 2 to 12, 2026.
Financing and Share Structure
The company has issued Series C convertible preferred stock to investors in tranches of USD 1.6 million and USD 1.9 million, with rights to buy up to USD 39.2 million more in a fourth tranche, subject to stockholder approval and other conditions. Stockholders approved a 5,000,000 share increase to the equity plan. After the split about 2.1 million shares are outstanding, so conversions or new issuance could change the count quickly.
Why the Data Conflict and the Risks
Data feeds disagreed on Monday's move: one showed a 153 percent gain, another about 7 percent. A split-adjusted close near USD 1.62 compared with ten times the pre-split fair value of USD 0.152, or USD 1.52, implies about 7 percent, simple arithmetic, so the 153 percent figure likely mixes adjusted and unadjusted prices. Risks include unproven aviation economics, dilution and listing requirements. The new name and ticker took effect before the market opened Monday.
Where Things Stand
Because aviation is now the strategy. Catheter Precision became Flyte Aviation (NYSEAMERICAN:VJET) after buying a private jet booking company, and the 1-for-10 reverse split and new ticker reposition it as an aviation technology company with about 2.1 million shares outstanding. The data conflict on Monday's gain appears to be an adjustment error rather than a real 153 percent surge. Next catalysts are fourth quarter marketing spend, further Series C tranches and results, with the Hamptons International Film Festival partnership running October 2 to 12, 2026. The reverse split also leaves a very small share count.
