PDD Holdings (NASDAQ:PDD) shares are rising alongside Chinese American depositary receipts after reports that the central bank, banking regulators and securities regulators are meeting on capital-market support measures. Dublin-headquartered PDD owns the Pinduoduo social commerce platform in China and the global marketplace Temu. The Nasdaq Golden Dragon index is up over 3%.

Policy Support Reports Trigger a Rebound

Reports also cite a 100 billion yuan Central Bank Liquidity swap. The moves offered relief after the CSI 300 posted its worst month in over a decade, falling 8.5% in October and recording 12 straight weekly losses.

The rebound is holding despite weak October factory data, and U.S. indexes also recovered from Friday's AI-driven selloff. News from a rival Chinese E-commerce platform is also lifting peers, though PDD has no direct tie to it.

Business Model and FY2025 Financials

PDD runs an asset-light, two-sided marketplace model that earns revenue mainly through online Marketing and transaction services from merchants, split roughly evenly in FY2025. It also operates a community group purchase business, supported by sourcing, logistics and fulfillment capabilities across more than 80 countries.

The company reported about $61.8 billion in revenue and $14.0 billion in net income for FY2025 and has about 25,500 employees.
