(BlackRock), today announces an update to the investment risk level of its iShares Gold Bullion ETF (CGL). This change will be reflected in the prospectus for CGL that will be filed on or about October 30, 2017. BlackRock Canada applied the new investment risk classification methodology set out in National Instrument 81-102 - Investment Funds, which came into force on September 1, 2017, to determine the investment risk level of CGL. There have been no changes to the investment objectives, investment strategies or management of CGL. The updated risk level applies to both classes of units of CGL that are represented by their respective ticker symbols: CGL and CGL.C.
