IBM (NYSE: IBM) is advancing its technology partnership with Oracle, bringing its AI portfolio, watsonx, to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This collaboration is focused on integrating AI-powered productivity tools within enterprise operations, helping organizations streamline their processes and adopt generative AI models across various sectors.
With businesses increasingly using AI to enhance operations, multi-agent AI tools have emerged as key facilitators. These AI agents serve as a simple interface to help users automate and streamline workflows, creating efficiencies across enterprise functions. As Greg Pavlik, EVP of AI and Data Management Services at Oracle, highlights, AI's value is maximized when it seamlessly integrates with all aspects of a business. Through their partnership, IBM and Oracle aim to offer customers advanced solutions that transform business practices.
One of the main aspects of this collaboration is IBM’s watsonx Orchestrate, which will be available on OCI by July. It is designed to support complex workflows that involve multiple agents, enabling integration across both Oracle and non-Oracle applications and data sources. This feature will be especially useful in areas like human resources and will allow AI to perform tasks like inferencing on OCI, where customers already host their data and applications.
Additionally, Oracle will host IBM’s Granite models on OCI Data Science, providing customers with more choices for AI model deployment. These models, which will be available in the latter part of this year, will simplify the access and use of AI tools for businesses looking to integrate AI into their systems.
Furthermore, the IBM Envizi ESG Suite will soon be available on OCI, starting in Saudi Arabia. This enterprise solution focuses on sustainability, automating the management and reporting of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data.
Overall, this extended partnership between IBM and Oracle offers a variety of AI and cloud services designed to assist businesses in navigating the evolving AI landscape.
